Our Story
This is Mattias.
Mattias + Me began with a simple idea: what if every child could build emotional wellbeing from the very beginning?
Created by Australian mum Marielle — a journalist, counselling student and former early childhood educator with six years of experience working alongside children and families — Mattias + Me was inspired by one little boy: her son, Mattias, and a simple hope: to help create a better world for him.
That hope grew into a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to develop emotional wellbeing from the very beginning. Because emotional support shouldn't begin when something goes wrong. It should begin in the everyday moments that shape childhood.
Today, Mattias + Me creates thoughtfully designed books, activities and resources that help children understand their feelings, build resilience and strengthen their connection with the people who care for them.
Grounded in Australia's Early Years Learning Framework, every product is designed to support parents, carers and educators in raising emotionally healthy, confident and compassionate children.
